A good quote request does not require a finished design. What matters most is providing the information needed to understand the work.
Include at least this information
- Drawings, sketches or photographs of the current situation.
- Main dimensions, quantity and intended use.
- Material and surface finish, if already specified.
- The site address, or at least the town or city.
- Your preferred fabrication or installation schedule.
- Site and installation constraints, if known.
The technical solution can still be open. If you know what the structure needs to do but not yet how it should be made, tell us. That is a useful starting point for design.
How does better initial information help?
Clear initial information reduces uncertainty in the quote, helps identify fabrication or installation risks earlier, and makes it easier to discuss the project in practical terms.
